ENHANCING THE PROTECTION PROPERTY ON SILK FABRIC BY THE TREATMENT OF POLYACRYLIC ACID AND CHITOSAN

Silk is valued as one of the prominent protein textile fibers under animal category famous for distinct properties such lustrous appearance, comfort performance, remarkable shiny sheen and also towards bio-applications. In general, silk highly sensitive delicate; hence, there a need protection in order to protect from unwanted impacts chemicals, light insects. According this consideration, work it decided give an application with polyacrylic acid (PA) chitosan (CT) followed by adopting coloration process using selected natural dyes synthetic reactive dye. The fabric samples were undergone specific tests like measuring common physical properties, color values respective fastness aspects, hand values, antibacterial, uv performances FTIR studies. outcome results very considerable improvement aspects textiles / garments other utility products.
